OBESE: A Year To Save My Life

Check out Jack’s story as he faces the fight of his life, his weight, his addiction to food and a habitual lifestyle that is sending him down the road to destruction. Jack’s story is one of amazing change and transformation, but it comes with great sacrifice and surrender. I hope you enjoy watching him as much as I enjoyed working with him. Remember to let us know what you think!

    Hi Jessie

Just finished watching the episode about Jack and so wanted him to succeed.

Such a lovely young man and so many negative feelings . . . it was so good to see how things turned out for him.

My eldest son is a fire fighter and I know from what he went through that the fitness assessment is a real toughie; Jack was brilliant and the way his self esteem rose ten-fold was a great moment.

A great series; I look forward to watching the rest.

Such an inspirational programme! I can’t wait for the next one. Jessie if only more men were like you! You can help me to work out any day lol. Good job to everyone involved and I hope it helps many many people .

Wow, what an inspiring program! It’s certainly given me cause to look at my life and diet and make immediate changes. I did find that having someone encouraging you like Jessie did is worth so much. Many trainers are not as positive as Jessie was for Jack.

I also enjoyed reading Jessies website, very inspiring.

Remember ‘you get out what you put in’!

I wish we could all have someone like him around us to help push us to what we could ‘potentially’ have locked away inside us!

    Hi Jessie,
Having just watched “OBESE: A year to save my life” featuring Jack, I just wanted to air how immensly proud I am of you, Jack and the team.

It was fantastic to see how to enduce real change for the good. How to instill real confidence and self belief, so Jack could achieve rewards through hard work and self discipline.
It was a beautiful change to see a life saving transformation without the trainer screaming insults in the clients face. This seems to be the trend on lots of TV shows.

I have worked with clients when their self asteem is on the floor and there is nothing so rewarding as helping to change someones life for the good so that they no longer just exist, but enjoy living life to the full.

When your mind and body are in a good place, life feels so much more worth while because you value yourself.

Jack you are such a beautiful, kind, charming, good looking guy, if you use your good looks and athletic stats you could give Jessie some real competition!

Best of luck in the 3 peaks challenge, and keep up the exercise routine.
    Well done to you all.
    Kind Regards,
    Orla

I watched the programme about Jack and just wanted to say how brilliant it was. It’s not often that tv brings me to tears but this programme did. Crying through a big smile at the end of the programme!! I don’t know Jack but I was very proud of his efforts and thought that you did a fantastic job nailing the living life through a pc and lack of confidence issues. Having been there myself I understood what he was going through and having lost the weight and re-trained to be a fitness professional myself I understood entirely what you were doing as well. It was such a good programme and an inspiration both personally and professionally. The thing that really touched me is the fact that a child potential is so often missed or ignored, such a sad situation. I re-trained because i came to love fitness and wanted to help others the way I was helped. Since watching the show I have decided to get qualified in exercise on children in the hope that I may spot and encourage the potential every child has. Maybe I can give something back to society by doing this. Thank you!! X

I am an overweight 50 year old woman I watched Obese a year to Save my Life last night and I cried. Something Jessie said resonated with me and I found Jack’s story inspirational. I just wish I had someone like Jessie to help me.

I don’t have that channel. Is there a way to watch it online?

I watched it and the one word that came to mind was “inspirational”. That kid looked so good by the end that it was actually a shock to behold. Great work Jessie, inspired me in my own battle with flab too, so thanks

    Hi Jessie,

I am loving the program what an inspiration you, Julie and Jack are they did so well and have changed their lives.
You have inspired me to start my weightloss journey, I am only 6 days into it but already feel more alive :) being 41 and 257 pound I know it is going to be a long journey.
I love the way you go about it, its not only being about food but ourselves as people and changing not just our lives but our outlook on life and try! to gain some self esteem….just knowing myself well you are so right!
I was wondering if you have any video’s or articles I can get hold of? being in the UK I had never heard of you before the program, If you have not you should do some. You have a gift of being able to inspire people including myself! and should share it and you will change many peoples lives in the UK as well as USA :)

    Looking forward to mondays program

    Kind regards

    Tracy

I watched Jack’s story and found it really moving. It was amazing to see Jack discover he has the physical capabilities of an elite athlete! Thanks to Jessie and Jack, I’m inspired to address some of the habits that are holding me back too. Thanks for a very inspiring and encouraging programme.48

    Hi,

I have just watched the first ten minutes of obese: a year to save my life featuring Liz.
Feeling like i am watching myself in 10 or less years time. I have a severe comfort food addiction and don’t know where to begin.
All my life I was slim until two and a half years ago..I’ve gone from a healthy 10.5 stone to just over 17 stone…and i cannot seem to stop.
    I am only 27.

    Jenn
