A message I want to share with you

I have been receiving many emails asking me for help. I do wish I could answer them all, but unfortunately, some of the messages require more than just diet and exercise types. So I have decided to share with you a message I sent to my 9 clients during this years show (AYTSML). It may seem harsh at moments, but it’s the truth about obesity, it’s the truth about changing your life. I want everyone that watches our show to know that what these guys are taking on is much larger then them and it takes more then just exercise and diet. I hope you can use this message and apply it to your challenges in life. Enjoy.

Here you go:

We are all different and what works for one doesn’t work for the other, but we are all human and we all want the same thing: to be happy and to be fulfilled. I can promise you this, if you think for one second that going back to where you were will give you those feelings, you are gravely mistaken. You will soon find that all you where doing was covering up the truth. This doesn’t make you wrong, it makes you a living, breathing being, but you must keep trying to find what works for YOU – never give up, never be too afraid, too complacent, too closed up. Instead be open to solution, open to life, fearlessly willing to do whatever it takes. We all carry something we have to deal with, something that weighs us down, for you it is your weight and food is your drug. You will justify every reason for why things are the way they are, but this is you deflecting responsibility for yourself and for the ones that look up to you and love you. You will be everything but honest with yourself and the ones that are trying to help you because you have so much to protect, and those friends: guilt, shame, and remorse, (the ones you a have acquired through your addiction) really hate any kind of criticism. You will wake-up and have moments when you feel sooooo ready to take on the burden, much like you did at the beginning of this program, use those moments to at least make you feel as though you are in control again, but know that that voice that was created so many years ago will not go away. You may quiet the voice, but it will come back, it may get louder and louder and LOUDER. Statistics state that will go back to your old ways, but if you are like some of the few, you will know how to deal, how to cope, how to live with that voice and nurture that voice. That voice is your inner child, it is a part of you that must be cared for and loved, not ignored or pushed down. It is you, just a much younger version of you. If you are one of the few, you will find a whole new world before you. One that is not easy, one that comes with a whole different kind of weight, but one that you can feel good about, that will give you the chills when you think about where you’ve been and where you are, one that will bring a tear to your eyes and the eyes of others as they hear your story. This has always been your choice. This show doesn’t create miracles, YOU DO. Odd’s are you will go back to your old ways, but f$%^ the odds, f&*^ statistics, be one of the few.

    Hey Jessie,
I think what you are doing is amazing, not a lot of people would come the whole way from LA to help obese people in the UK.
The 1st episode you were in Bradford, just round the corner from where I live. I couldn’t believe it.
I think the show is brilliant. It’s so inspitational. If you can help someone to lose all that weight then surely I can do it to?
I’m five stones over weight and have struggled with my weight all my life. I don’t think there is a lot of help out there for people with weight problems, well not from anyone who understands anyway.
My mum is getting married this year and I’m one of her bridesmaids. After watching your show every week I have decided to get my lazy ass up and do something to change my life and the 1st thing I’m gonna do is eat healthy and exercise.
Sometime in the future I would love to open a place that helps people who have weight issues. Somewhere that people can come and get help and advice, something that I don’t think people have these days, especially not in the UK.
I want to be a nutritionalist so that I can help people change their lives for the better and be the person they are inside underneath the fat.
Thank you Jessie for taking the time to come to the UK to help people and show them that you care.
You have made such a big change in peoples lives and you have definitely been a motivation for me.
    Take care and best wishes….

i used to weigh 20 stone, i was sad and fat i cried myself to sleep many a time. my partner left me because of my weight problem. One day i got up out of bed and i walked, the next day i done the same and so forth for weeks and weeks. over the course of a year i lost 10 stone and i met the man of my dreams a couple of years later i married him. After we married i got pregnant and put back on 6 stones i was devastated i convinced myself that my new partner would leave me, but he didn’t and i struggled to loose weight i realized this battle was mine and mine alone i could blame the world but i had done this to myself. I joined the gym and hit the cardio machines hard but alas this wasn’t enough. I got a trainer and i’ve never looked back once today i weigh 11 stone still on the journey but the end is in sight. i’m the fittest and healthiest i have ever been i have 22% body fat. I have the tools for change i thought my trainer done this for me and i was in complete awe of him, but he said to me one day ” i admire you, your strength and dertimination are fantastic, you have done this i have taught, you but you have used the learning to create change not only in your life but in the lives of those around you” i went home thinking what is he on about and as i began to speak to my friends and family they agreed with what it was he had said. My message is to acknowledge small achievements, they didn’t come about on there own, make them, embrace them and build on them, i did and the life of myself and family is so much better. I’m a mum, a lover, a loser (weight) and i’m finally me after years of looking for who i was i’ve been me all along, i was just afraid to be me all along. PUT YOURSELF FIRST, DO WHAT NEEDS DOING, LOOK AFTER NUMBER 1
